What did you do prior to entering seminary?
I worked at several healthcare and life sciences companies (Biogen, CVS), as well as mergers & acquisitions consulting with Deloitte, and previously was an analyst with the CIA.
What influenced your decision to apply for seminary entrance?
A long period of prayerful discernment and wrestling with God, the example of faithful, wonderful priests in my life, and the mentorship and encouragement from close friends.
Why do you want to be a priest?
It is a beautiful calling to be Christ’s presence to His people through the ministry of the sacraments, the preaching of His word, and through a life of devoted service.
What are your favorite pastimes?
Travel, whiskey-tasting, biking, cooking, being victorious at trivia nights
What is your favorite quote?
“Act justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with God” (Micah 6:8).
Who is your favorite Saint and why?
St. Peter because I can relate to his personality, particularly his very human flaws, and his own story of being called and transformed by our Lord were inspirational in my own discernment journey.
What advice would you give to a young man thinking about the seminary?
If God is calling you, it will be difficult to hear the call, much less act on and respond to it, unless you are cultivating a serious prayer life, particularly mental prayer.
