What did you do prior to entering seminary?
This past year I have worked as a missionary on Fort Campbell for the Archdiocese for Military Services.
What influenced your decision to apply for seminary entrance?
I think that striving to be Christ for others allowed me to hear more clearly His call to seminary.
Why do you want to be a priest?
I would like to be a priest because there is something really cool that happens on the altar every Mass and the love that is exemplified in the story of the prodigal son needs to be expressed. I believe that priesthood is the primary way to fulfill those two things.
What are your favorite pastimes?
I really like reading, talking to people, and playing sports.
What is your favorite quote?
“Courage! Do not fall back; in a little, the place will be ours!” -St. Joan of Arc
Who is your favorite Saint and why?
Saint Francis of Assisi is my favorite saint and I believe that it's something about his love for everything that he could see God in. But he also saw God in everything which I think is beautiful.
What advice would you give to a young man thinking about the seminary?
Do not discern without doing stuff. If you are faithful in little things, you will be faithful in great things. Be aware and look for little ways to love God during the day and those will lead you to how God wants to love you in your life. Some examples of little things would be getting out of bed for God, brushing your teeth for God, or other things like these.
