Catechist Certification Courses (2026)-Catholic Education Center
There is no better way to retain your catechists, than to train your catechists!
All catechist training programs are open to catechists who are ready to deepen their involvement in the catechetical ministry of the Church.
This winter 2026, the following courses will be offered at the following locations:
Delores Nelson will be teaching CAT Courses at Precious Blood Parish in Culpeper.
Patty Laing will be teaching CAT Courses at Holy Spirit Parish in Annandale.
Katherine Howe Evans will be teaching BC Courses at St. Patrick Parish in Fredericksburg.

All adults are welcome – Catechists, Aides, Parents, Parishioners – future volunteers!
Please consider inviting some catechists to become certified (either online, or through these courses). Let them know that the Diocese is providing this training for them, and you would like them to become certified. Invite them to help build your program! This is a great way to prepare future leaders and teachers in your parish.
