Liturgical Formation and Ministries
As part of its mission to assist the Bishop in promoting the full, conscious, and active participation of all the faithful in liturgical celebrations in the Diocese of Arlington, the Office of Divine Worship hosts annual workshops for liturgical ministers, offers workshops and talks on liturgical topics, and works closely with the Office of Catechetics to promote evangelization and ongoing faith formation. For information about major formation opportunities offered by the Office of Divine Worship, as well as opportunities offered by the Office of Catechetics, please see the resources given below.
“In the restoration and promotion of the sacred liturgy, this full and active participation by all the people is the aim to be considered before all else; for it is the primary and indispensable source from which the faithful are to derive the true Christian spirit; and therefore pastors of souls must zealously strive to achieve it, by means of the necessary instruction, in all their pastoral work.”
