In honor of the 250th anniversary of our nation, t In honor of the 250th anniversary of our nation, the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops will be consecrating the United States to the Sacred Heart of Jesus at the Basilica Shrine of Mary, Queen of the Universe in Orlando, FL. Mass will be livestreamed on June 11 at 4:00 PM EST. Join in this special moment of prayer and entrustment as we place our country under the loving care of the Sacred Heart. “The Heart of Christ is the source from which we draw God’s mercy, forgiveness, and tenderness.” – Pope Francis
May the heart of Jesus, in the Most Blessed Sacram May the heart of Jesus, in the Most Blessed Sacrament, be praised, adored, and loved with grateful affection, at every moment, in all the tabernacles of the world, even to the end of time! Today, Bishop Burbidge celebrated a Mass of Thanksgiving at St. William of York in Stafford as a part of the National Eucharistic Pilgrimage and the parish’s 70th anniversary celebration. Following Mass, Bishop led a solemn Eucharistic procession around the parish and school campus followed by hundreds of faithful in attendance. Bishop Burbidge’s encouragement in his homily are for all: “Today, entrust your cares, burdens, and crosses to the Lord in the firm belief that in the Blessed Sacrament Jesus sustains, nourishes, and carries us here on earth so that we may reach the destination for which we all long: life with him in Heaven.”
