Quo Vadis Camp details
What is Quo Vadis Camp? 5 days and 4 nights at Mount St. Mary’s Seminary, for high school boys who want to gain tools for living and praying to lay a solid foundation for their future. Quo Vadis Camp is staffed by diocesan seminarians and priests.
Mornings at camp focus on the spiritual, including Mass and talks, and afternoons are all about sports and games; evening events are a mix. One day there’s a pilgrimage to the Grotto of Our Lady of Lourdes.
When? July 12-16, 2026. Camp starts Sunday at 11:00 a.m. (including noon Mass with the Bishop and lunch for all families) and ends at 1:00 p.m. Thursday.
Who? Boys currently in grade 9-12, who won’t be 19 by the time of camp.
Cost?$350 includes private room, hall bath, all meals and activities. Payment plans and financial aid are available, and applying for aid does not hinder your chances in the lottery. (Please note that the $350 covers only 50% of the costs of camp, so donations over and above the registration fee are welcome.)
Why? Read some comments from campers on what they most enjoyed and see more photos from 2025:
“I had a great time, better than I could have expected. The balance between prayer and fun worked well, and I’ve gained countless habits to apply to my prayer and discernment. I look forward to the journey ahead.”
“Highlights: freedom from technology; brotherhood; daily Mass and adoration; all the prayer opportunities.”
“Being with the seminarians was really cool. Seeing how they are trying to grow in holiness and pursuing their vocation while still being cools guys who like sports and stuff is inspiring.”
“The chance to pray and meditation was unlike any other time or retreat I’ve ever been to! The seminarians and priests were all amazing!”
“Fraternity, prayer/adoration, having seminarians everywhere to talk to.”
“I enjoyed the brotherhood and prayer.”

We are so fortunate to have had such great demand for this camp, though we are sorry it has meant that we don’t have room for everyone who wants to attend. These camps are an opportunity for young people to grow spiritually and learn about vocations, but they are not the only means. If you are interested in exploring your vocation, please contact the Office of Vocations to schedule a meeting with Father Noah Morey. Additionally, there are other Quo Vadis events during the school year that will give you this opportunity to interact with priests and seminarians and grow in holiness.
CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY:
Cancellations must be received in writing (via email) to the Office of Vocations, [email protected].
Cancellations received before June 1 receive a 50% refund.
Cancellations received after June 1 will not receive a refund.
Quo Vadis Events
Quo Vadis is Latin for “Where are you going?”
The Quo Vadis group offers fun and formative events throughout the year that help you grow in your relationship with Christ, interact with seminarians and priests, and learn more about all vocations. See below for information on the camp and other upcoming events.
Quo Vadis events are for young men currently in grades 9-12.
Why Quo Vadis?
The Quo Vadis tradition is the story of St. Peter’s flight from the Emperor Nero’s persecution of Roman Christians in the first century.
As legend has it, Peter decided to flee Rome at the outbreak of the persecution, perhaps in fear, perhaps because he thought “the rock” should be somewhere safe so others could eventually find and cling to it, and to him.
Heading out the Via Appia, Peter meets Jesus, who is heading into the city of Rome to face the persecution. “Quo vadis, Domine?” Peter asks – “Lord, where are you going?” “I am going to Rome to be crucified,” Jesus answers – and disappears.
At which point Peter turns back into the city to embrace martyrdom.
In Rome, you can visit the place on the Via Appia Antica where this meeting is said to have occurred. Christians have built a church on the spot to commemorate it.
Quo Vadis events are designed to help you encounter Jesus. Each one of us comes to this sacred place from different situations. Like St. Peter, we will meet Jesus through Quo Vadis events. We too will have a choice to make – Do we follow Jesus where He leads us or go our own way?
Ask Jesus as did St. Peter, “Quo vadis, Domine?” Listen to Jesus, follow Him, and find your vocation and joy—the purpose of your life.
