Spiritual Combat - The Battle of Prayer
Men's Silent Retreat November 13 - 15
Deep and powerful prayer is much more than a matter of kneeling, folding your hands, and asking for things. In the Gospels we have the exhortations and example of Jesus as He prayerfully engaged "the World, the Flesh, and the devil," and the Catechism of the Catholic Church describes prayer as a "Battle." (#2725). Retreat to San Damiano with a Band of Brothers to consider how to seek and find Christ in prayer by diving into the Gospels, with a little help from St. Paul, and by employing military strategies devised by St. Ignatius of Loyola, the "Soldier Saint."
Retreat cost is $299 and financial assistance may be available.
