How can Asian American parents and children assist each other to grow in their faith and to understand each other? Learn how both parents and children can support each other, bond, and develop an appreciation of their Catholic faith and their rich cultural diversity. All are welcome and families are encouraged to attend!

Speaker: Benjamin T. OuYang, Ph. D.
Ben OuYang was born and raised in Rochester, NY, the youngest of six children from immigrant parents from China. He earned his B.A. from the University of Rochester and his MA and Ph. D in Education from the University of Maryland. He has been a public educator for the past 28 years having been a Middle and High School Counselor, Assistant Principal, Principal and Director of Curriculum.
For the Catholic Church, he was a youth group leader for fifteen years, and has been a coordinator of the Everlasting
Married Catholic Couples (EMCC), a married couple's group for over fifteen years. He assists in overseeing all English
Ministry programs for Our Lady of China Pastoral Mission Rockville, and he has been assigned as the Chairperson for
the Asian American young adults program for the Asian Pacific Catholic Network.He has given over thirty talks to various Asian American communities and has worked with over 2000 Asian American students in his career.
