What did you do prior to entering seminary?

Prior to entering, I got my bachelor's degree in Communication at George Mason University.

What influenced your decision to apply for seminary entrance?

I did a lot of prayer and reflection as well as speaking with different priests in the Diocese who helped me discern taking the next step in discovering God's plan for my life.

Why do you want to be a priest?

I wish to be in the service of God and his people and be the bridge that unites them.

What are your favorite pastimes?

I like to read books, do a bit of exercise, practice a bit of the guitar, and walking.

What is your favorite quote?

“Whoever of you does not renounce all that he has cannot be my disciple” (Luke 14: 33).

Who is your favorite Saint and why?

My favorite Saint is Padre Pio. Despite the many challenges he faced, he always placed trust in God and served Him.

What advice would you give to a young man thinking about the seminary?

Go to adoration (I can't recommend this enough), pray and meditate on the Rosary, and be patient with God's will.

Any other facts about you that people might find interesting?

I like to listen to norteño music, which is regional music from Mexico. I am the youngest of three brothers and I am also Guatemalan.
