Religious Freedom Week 2020

June 22-29, 2020

This summer, Bishop Burbidge and the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) are calling Catholics across the country to pray and act in support of religious liberty within the U.S. and abroad during Religious Freedom Week 2020

The theme for this year's Religious Freedom Week is “For the Good of All” The week starts on June 22, the Feast of St. Thomas More and St. John Fisher, and ends on June 29, the Solemnity of St. Peter and St. Paul.

As a Diocese, we encourage you to participate in this important cause for the Catholic Church, by taking time each day to pray, reflect, and take action on religious liberty, both here in this country and abroad.

Religious freedom remains one of America's most precious possessions. And, as my brothers, the United States Bishops, have reminded us, all are called to be vigilant, precisely as good citizens, to preserve and defend that freedom from everything that would threaten or compromise it.
