International Student Admissions Process

For students applying from outside the United States who wish to study in a Diocese of Arlington Catholic school.

The Catholic Church has always made every effort to welcome all nationalities into her community of faith. In order to further this effort, the Diocese of Arlington will endeavor to remain certified by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security to admit F-1 (Non-Immigrant) students in grades Kindergarten through 12th. The F-1 (Non-Immigrant) student status applies to those aliens who are in the United States for the purpose of attending school.

An international student must have an F-1 Visa or a visa status as indicated on the Non-Immigrant: Who Can Study chart in order to be enrolled in and attend a school in the U.S.

  • APPLY to and meet all the admission requirements for the Diocese of Arlington Catholic school of choice.
  • COMPLETE Diocese of Arlington I-20 Application and submit it to the Diocesan school of choice.
  • PICK UP completed I-20 from the Office of Catholic Schools after receiving notification that the I-20 is available. NOTE: I-20s must be picked up and will not be mailed.
  • PAY the I-901 fee and save a copy of your receipt.
  • SCHEDULE a visa interview with the local U.S. Consulate.
