Saint Joseph of Cupertino

The Saint Joseph of Cupertino Endowment is a heartfelt initiative to provide scholarships for children with Down syndrome and other intellectual disabilities, enabling them to attend Catholic schools in the Diocese of Arlington.

This endowment was created through a generous gift from a family having a child with Down syndrome, who thrived in a Catholic school setting, successfully integrating and growing in faith and knowledge, with a sense of belonging. Inspired by her positive experience, the endowment seeks to extend the same opportunity to other families, ensuring their children can access the supportive, inclusive environment of Catholic education.

Named after Saint Joseph of Cupertino, the patron saint of those with learning challenges, the endowment provides tuition assistance to remove financial barriers, fostering individualized learning, peer integration, and the celebration of each child’s unique gifts.

Through the Saint Joseph of Cupertino Endowment, the Catholic Foundation aims to create a lasting legacy of compassion, education, and faith for these deserving children
