New chaplain at Marymount University

FALLS CHURCH, Va. – Effective Thursday, June 27, 2019, and in accordance with routine clergy appointments made by the Most Reverend Michael F. Burbidge, Bishop of Arlington, Reverend Joseph M. Rampino, Parochial Vicar at Blessed Sacrament Parish in Alexandria, has been assigned as Chaplain at Marymount University in Arlington with residence at Saint John the Beloved Parish in McLean. Reverend Thomas M. Yehl, Y.A., current Chaplain and Director of Campus Ministry at Marymount University in Arlington, has been assigned to Parochial Vicar at Blessed Sacrament Parish in Alexandria.

FALLS CHURCH, Va. – Effective Thursday, June 27, 2019, and in accordance with routine clergy appointments made by the Most Reverend Michael F. Burbidge, Bishop of Arlington, Reverend Edward J. Bresnahan, Chaplain at Bishop Ireton High School in Alexandria with residence at the Basilica of Saint Mary in Alexandria, has been assigned to Parochial Vicar at Saint Andrew the Apostle Parish in Clifton. Reverend Noah C. Morey, Parochial Vicar at All Saints Parish in Manassas, has been assigned to Chaplain at Bishop Ireton High School in Alexandria with residence at the Basilica of Saint Mary in Alexandria.

New pastor coming to Catholic parish in Luray

FALLS CHURCH, Va. – Effective Thursday, June 27, 2019, and in accordance with routine clergy appointments made by the Most Reverend Michael F. Burbidge, Bishop of Arlington, Reverend Edwin E. Perez, Parochial Vicar at Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish in Lake Ridge, will become the new Pastor of Our Lady of the Valley Parish in Luray. Reverend Edward R. Horkan, the current Pastor of Our Lady of the Valley Parish in Luray has been assigned to Canon Law Studies at The Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. with residence at Saint Charles Borromeo Parish in Arlington.

Local pastor moves to Arlington

FALLS CHURCH, Va. – Effective July 1, 2019 and in accordance with routine clergy appointments made by the Most Reverend Michael F. Burbidge, Bishop of Arlington. the Very Reverend Patrick L. Posey, V.F., will be leaving his current position as Pastor of Saint James Catholic Church in Falls Church, to become the new Rector of the Cathedral of Saint Thomas More in Arlington, while continuing as Diocesan Director for the Office for the Propagation of the Faith. The Very Reverend Paul D. Scalia has been assigned as Pastor of Saint James Parish in Falls Church while continuing as Episcopal Vicar for Clergy and Director of the Diaconate Formation Program.
