Meet Rev. Mr. James “Jim” Harbour, — ordained to t Meet Rev. Mr. James “Jim” Harbour, — ordained to the diaconate on April 26, 2025, and continuing his journey toward the priesthood with a heart rooted in prayer, service, and trust in God’s plan.

A consecrated member of the Youth Apostles community since 2017, Deacon Jim has served in parish and campus ministry, accompanying young people in their faith and helping them encounter the love of Christ. His path to seminary was marked by years of discernment, a commitment to consecrated life, and a desire to follow wherever God leads.

Drawn especially to the ministry of reconciliation, Deacon Jim sees the opportunity to hear confessions and witness God’s mercy as both a humbling and joyful gift. Inspired by St. John Bosco’s love for youth, devotion to Mary, and commitment to the Eucharist, he hopes to bring the heart of Jesus to all those he serves.

His advice for those discerning a vocation: pursue God first. “Regardless of vocation, all that matters, in the end, is that you are a beloved son of a loving God.”

Please join us in praying for Deacon Jim as he continues preparing for priestly ministry.
Meet Rev. Mr. Alexander Solsma — ordained to the d Meet Rev. Mr. Alexander Solsma — ordained to the diaconate on April 26, 2025, and continuing his preparation for priestly ministry with gratitude for God’s providence and a deep love for the Church.

Born and raised in Iowa, Deacon Alex worked as a journalist, broadcaster, and communications professional before answering God’s call to seminary formation. Most recently, he served as Director of Communications and Evangelization at the Basilica of Saint Mary, helping share the Gospel and tell the stories of faith throughout the Diocese of Arlington.

Through years of prayer, frequent reception of the sacraments, and attentive listening to the Lord’s voice, Deacon Alex experienced a growing conviction that God was calling him to the priesthood.

An avid reader, runner, traveler, and college football enthusiast, Deacon Alex draws inspiration from the witness of modern saints and holy leaders who faithfully proclaimed Christ in the world. He encourages young men who sense a call to the priesthood to pay attention to the desires God has placed on their hearts and to entrust that discernment to prayer.

Please join us in praying for Deacon Alex as he continues his journey toward the priesthood and prepares to serve the people of God.
Meet Rev. Mr. Donghan “Stan” Lee — ordained to the Meet Rev. Mr. Donghan “Stan” Lee — ordained to the diaconate on April 26, 2025, and continuing his journey toward the priesthood with humility, perseverance, and trust in God’s guidance.
Born in Seoul, South Korea, and raised in Northern Virginia, Deacon Stan first encountered seminary life through the Quo Vadis discernment group, where his desire to explore God’s call began to grow. A graduate of VCU with a degree in psychology, he now hopes to dedicate his life to serving others under the Lord’s direction.
Inspired by St. Andrew Kim Taegon — the first Korean Catholic priest — and encouraged by the words of St. Padre Pio, “Pray, hope, and don’t worry,” Deacon Stan reminds young men discerning a vocation to remain patient and persistent as they seek God’s will.
Meet Rev. Mr. Eric McDade, — ordained to the diaco Meet Rev. Mr. Eric McDade, — ordained to the diaconate on April 26, 2025, and preparing to continue serving the Church with joy, humor, and a deep love for Christ.

A lover of family, friends, skiing, sports, and his hometown Baltimore Ravens, Deacon Eric is especially inspired by St. Philip Neri and his joyful spirit in difficult circumstances. He encourages young men discerning a vocation to seek strong spiritual guidance and deepen their relationship with God through prayer and the sacraments.

Please join us in praying for Deacon Eric as he continues his journey toward the priesthood.
