What did you do prior to entering seminary?

I graduated from VCU with a B.S. in Psychology and worked for an insurance agency for 8 months.

What influenced your decision to apply for seminary entrance?

When I learned about seminary formation in the Quo Vadis group, I always wanted to experience seminarian life. It will be a great preparation for life after ordination. Even if I don't become a priest at the end, a seminarian lifestyle will teach me a great lesson.

Why do you want to be a priest?

At first, I felt a pull toward the priesthood that seemed unknown to me. Now I want to live a life that serves others under God's guidance.

What are your favorite pastimes?

Calligraphy, video games and listening to music

What is your favorite quote?

“Pray, hope, and don't worry,” St. Padre Pio

Who is your favorite Saint and why?

Saint Andrew Kim Taegon, He was the first ordained Korean priest. It's amazing how he helped Koreans practice Catholicism even before the missionaries came to spread Christianity.

What advice would you give to a young man thinking about the seminary?

Be patient and persistent, eventually, God will show you the right way.
