FRONT ROYAL, Va. - Nearly 500 students, along with faculty and staff at Christendom College, will attend the Mass of the Holy Spirit, Sunday, August 20, 2017. Most Reverend Michael F. Burbidge, Bishop of the Diocese of Arlington, will be the homilist.

Niall O’Donnell, the Director of Marketing at the liberal arts Catholic college says this Mass is a great way for students to begin the school year. “It sets the tone for the students. The Mass is Sunday, and school starts two days later on Tuesday, August 22,” he said.
Father Marcus Pollard will concelebrate the Mass with Bishop Burbidge. Pollard was just assigned as the new chaplain at Christendom College in July. “This summer, when I came, the staff and faculty extended me a warm welcome. This Mass extends that welcome, in Christ, to the new and returning students,” he said.
