Why I work in Youth Ministry: The simple answer? This is where the Holy Spirit has led me--this is where God wants me for this period in my life. For the full story, feel free to reach out-- I'd love to talk to you about the amazing ways the Spirit has moved in my life and in my career discernment!
About Me: I graduated from the University of Mary Washington in 2016 with an M.Ed in secondary education. For the next six years, I taught 9th grade English and gifted education in Spotsylvania County, Virginia. When I started teaching, I decided to volunteer with the youth group so that I could ground myself in the reality of what teens were facing outside of the stresses of school, and I've been involved ever since. I married my husband (a fellow youth ministry volunteer!) in 2020, and we co-own a small production company. When we aren't writing and filming stories together, we love to swing dance. In my free time, I love to curl up with a warm cup of coffee and a good book! I have a deep passion for all bread-related items, and I like to think that Jesus did too.
