Speakers:

  • Mr. Damon Owens - Founder and Executive Director of joytob, "Joy to Be"

Topic: Christian Morality and The Family

In-Service training is intended to immerse DYMs and other youth workers in to a certain topic relevant to their ministry. The day also serves as an opportunity to develop a specific youth ministry skill.

As we mark the 50th Anniversary of Blessed Paul VI’s encyclical HumanaeVitae, we will gather to deepen our understanding of Christian morality and God’s design for life and love as we reflect on the Theology of the Body and the Church’s vision for the family. In-Service attendees will be equipped with the tools necessary to better convey the Theology of the Body to young people and navigate the sometimes challenging topics of morality.

The following sessions will be offered and will count toward the Certificate in Youth Ministry:

  • Christocentric Morality
  • The Church’s Vision of the Family
  • The Theology of the Body for Young People

Who’s Invited

This training is being offered to everyone that works with youth in the diocese, all parish Directors of Youth Ministry, their volunteer teams, DREs, and parish priests.
